Registration

  • Please bring to the hospitality tent Saturday morning.
  • Please slice and deliver Saturday morning to hospitality tent in a disposable container. Please, no containers that will need to be returned.
  • Each volunteer to prepare and bring to the hospitality tent 12 boxes of turkey stuffing in a disposable container.
  • Please bring 12 cans of Cranberry Sauce to the hospitality tent on Saturday. Can be delivered Friday at Turkey Lake (HS has practice that evening as well as work day for volunteers) or Saturday morning.
  • Please, brand name only. Can be delivered Friday at Turkey Lake (HS has practice that evening as well as work day for volunteers) or Saturday morning.

  • These are awarded to the master 1x winner (male and female). Please buy brand name. These Turkeys are NOT cooked.

  • Can be anything, cookies, brownies, pastries, etc but must be individually wrapped in ziplock/cling wrap. Serving size should be 8-12.

  • Do you have a pontoon boat that can be used? It will be anchored for race officials on course.
  • Boat safety inspection & launching crews in order at designated times.
  • Receive teams on the return dock. Help keep things speedy but safe. Collect bow numbers after racing.

  • Help direct traffic and get all the morning arriving rowers, parents and supporters safely parked.

Registration is closed
The Giblet is Saturday!!!! Because this regatta is hosted by SORA, coaches are a less available on regatta day than normal.  Please read this email in its entriety to help insure that all rowers know report times and locations for Regatta Day.


HQ pavilion (referenced below) is the pavilion located between the launching and recovery docks.

FRIDAY HS PRACTICE: 

Is at Turkey Lake.  3401 S. Hiawassee Rd.  You will park in the field near RV Parking.  Parents are asked to attend to help with final Giblet Prep (putting up the large tent, etc).

Boats will be rigged and staged near the launching dock

SATURDAY REPORT TIMES:

HS: 6:30 a.m. at the HQ pavilion

MS: 11:00 a.m. at the HQ pavilion

EXPECTED RELEASE TIMES:

MS: 2:00 p.m.

HS: 4:30 p.m.

HOSPITALITY:

Because this entire regatta is run by SORA, food will be available (at no cost) directly from the main Regatta Food tent.  At the SORA boat area there will be water and Gatorade to refill the rower's refillable water bottles.

The rower tent will be set up at the SORA boats by the launching docks.

WEATHER:

The forecast for Saturday is still changing.  Please keep checking, but plan on bringing rain gear.

TRAILER UNLOADING AT MOSS PARK:

Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, trailer unloading is SUNDAY at Moss Park at 11 a.m.  PARENTS, we can also use your help in unloading Giblet items like Hospitality, tents, signs, etc.
