HS Only in Jacksonville. Not an overnight regatta.

This Saturday is the first regatta of the season for our returning HS rowers! Please read this regatta planner completely as it contains important information for the regatta:

This is not a scheduled overnight regatta. Practice next week will be the normal schedule (Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri).  Trailer loading will happen during practice on Friday (3:30-6 p.m.). Parents who wish to leave directly from practice on Friday to drive to Jacksonville, please plan on a 6:30 departure (we will try for 6, but trailer loading often runs late).de

REPORT TIMES:

  • COXSWAINS (AND 1X SCULLERS):  6:30 A.M. (subject to change based on final schedule)
  • ROWERS: 7:30 A.M. (subject to change based on final schedule)

EXPECTED RELEASE TIMES:

  • 4:30 PM (subject to change based on final schedule)
  • Rowers must stay at the regatta for the duration of the event.

This is an OUT OF TOWN regatta.  Rowers are NOT allowed to drive to or from the regatta.

HOSPITALITY:

Breakfast Muffins/bagels, Water, Lunch and Snacks are being provided for our rowers.  Additional concessions should be available on site.

Our hospitality committee is still in need of:

  • 20 gallons of water (in 1-gallon water jugs, NOT individual water bottles)
  • 2 more volunteers to bake breakfast muffins
Email tinarobers@bellsouth.net if you can help.

Water should be sent with your rower to practice this week.  If we receive more than the needed water supply, we can use it next week at Gatorhead.

REGATTA LOCATION:

(GPS address): 5920 Arlington Expressway, Jacksonville, FL  32211

WAIVER:

All rowers need to have an online NOARA waiver on file

http://www.noara.org/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&chronoformname=waiver_fl_scholastic

As of 10/10 (9 a.m.) the following Rowers must still FILL OUT THEIR WAIVER ONLINE or you will not be able to race on Saturday.  This waiver is needed for almost all Fall regattas.  Even if you are not racing at 1st Coast, we will need this waiver completed to be able to race at Gatorhead and Head of the Giblet.
