NEWS UPDATE (4/12 2:45 PM):
Message from the directors of Sculling States:
"In the interests of safety and running the best, fairest regatta possible given the expected severe weather on Sunday and giving teams appropriate time to plan accordingly, the FSRA board was decided to commit to running a Saturday only regatta. The regatta alternate schedule is already posted on the heat sheets page; lane assignments will be posted later today."
We were notified yesterday of this possibility and sent word to those registered but it's now become reality.
Per Coach Terry:
Due to this change, our last race will be Saturday at 5:45pm. After securing the trailer we will take the team to one of a few choices for dinner and then back to the hotel. Departure will now be 10am Sunday Morning, arriving back to the Moss Park Publix shortly after Noon.
Rowers whose parents wish to take them home on Saturday evening are free to do so but we are locked in on the hotel so all rooms will be checked out of Sunday AM.

General Info
FSRA State Sculling Championships weekend is Friday 4/14 - Sunday 4/15.
This is a travel regatta for our high school rowers and there is additional cost associated with it. Emails have gone out to those selected to attend. If you have any questions about your participation in this regatta, please see Coach Terry before registering.
Cost per rower to attend this year's Sculling States is $275 which includes transportation to and from the regatta, lodging, dinner Friday, breakfast (at the hotel) and regatta fees.
Due to timing considerations and the fact that not all rowers will be at the regatta during lunch, there will not be full hospitality. Please make sure your rower has money for lunch Sat.
There will be substantial snacks and drinks provided at the race course for rowers to tide over and keep fueled between meals.

Regatta Volunteers are needed to make this a successful event. Volunteer opportunities are listed online at a link we will provide as we get closer to the event. FSRA is a membership organization which hosts State Championships. Each team is responsible for contributing volunteers.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE:
A full official itinerary will be provided as the schedule firms up approaching race weekend. You/your rower will be missing all or part of school on Friday. Please make arrangements to have all your school work covered. If you have any reason why you can't depart with the team on Friday, please let Coach Terry know immediately.
Itinerary:
Friday, April 13th
11:00am: Vans depart from Lake Nona Publix (Moss Park Rd)
3:00pm - 5:00pm: Boat rigging & practice at venue
5:00pm - 6:00pm: Rowers arrive at team hotel to shower for dinner
6:00pm - 7:00pm Team dinner at the hotel
Saturday, April 14th
8:00am - 5:45pm: Racing. Rowers will be brought to the race course according to their race schedule
Sunday, April 15th
10am - Depart Team Hotel and return to Orlando/Moss Park Publiz
12:30 - Arrive in Orlando
