Winter Park Christmas Parade - Middle School Fundraiser

  • Rowers, Parents, coaches and supporters will walk in the Winter Park Christmas Parade wearing shirts for SORA business supporter Days Home Solutions (Coach Lauren's Dad's Company).

    Well behaved Dogs are welcome too!

    Days Home Solutions will donate either funds (approx $500) or equipment directly to SORA's middle school program.

Meeting time: 7:30am
Meeting Place: Whipple Ave in Winter Park (staging area for parade)

The parade will wind down Park Ave, starting at Cole Ave and ending at Lyman Ave. Participants will likely need to walk back to their cars.

For the 2nd year in a row, Day's Home Solutions is partnering with SORA's middle school program to do a directed fundraiser for equipment used by our program.

Last year that resulted in a cox box for our team and this year it will be something similar decided by the coaches.

Please note that at this time, meeting location is TBD. More info to come. We may also get more specific information about report/release times as the parade publishes it.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO:

  • Arrive in Winter Park at report time.
  • Wear a Day's Home Solutions (Coach Lauren's Dad's company) t-shirt and hand out pencils while walking along the parade route.
  • DOGS, Parents, siblings and other SORA members who want to support the middle school program are encouraged to participate and walk in the parade.
Days Home Solutions will donate either the funds or the requested equipment (in the neighborhood of $500) directly to SORA for our participation/support in the parade. All walkers will get to keep their Day's Home Solutions t-shirt (was an instant collectors item for our middle school rowers last year).

Our goal is 50 total walkers (rowers, parents and coaches)

More Details are available later this week, but est report time is 7:00 a.m.  Est release time 11 a.m. Optimally we'd like at least one parent walking with each rower if possible.
